Join us at the beautiful Carton House home of the Irish Open on the 30th May 2024 for this spectacular shotgun tournament in support of Biobank Ireland. Designed by 1998 Open Champion and US Masters Champion Mark O’Meara, this beauty of a classic parkland golf course is still full of challenges. The O’Meara Parkland Course is a Par 73 parkland golf course that measures 7,165 yards from the blue championship tees.

General Information on the event:

8.30am: Registration opens

9am: Breakfast at Carriage House Restaurant

10am: Shotgun start scramble on O’Meara course

3.30pm: Dinner, Entertainment & Prize Giving at the Carriage House Restaurant

Shotgun Golf Scramble

We will be playing a shotgun scramble. Each team member hits a tee shot on each hole. The team then collectively decides which of the four balls is in the best position to play next. The team must accept at least 2 tee shots from each player. This allows the play to be quick and all levels of golfers to have a fun and enjoyable day out.

Buggies

Buggies will be provided to players starting from 9th and 10th tees. Other teams requiring buggies can reserve them in advance at a cost of €50 with either Biobank Ireland (admin@biobankireland.com) or directly with the pro shop.

Goodie Bag

A Goodie Bag will be provided to each team member on registration. This will contain a number of gift items plus snacks, including a sandwich made with freshly baked bread at the Pantry Carton House. Sandwich options are the chef’s selections, however, if you have any dietry requirements or preferences please contact Geoff in Biobank Ireland (admin@biobankireland.com) and we will endeavour to accommodate you.

Dinner

Dinner will be served at 3.30pm. Depending on weather we may utilise the private barbecue deck as well as the restaurant. there should be enough food selection for most requirements, however, if you have any dietary requirements or preferences please contact Geoff in Biobank Ireland (admin@biobankireland.com) and we will endeavour to accommodate you.
