Biobank Ireland Trust  – Events and Marketing Intern Update

Back to All News

Since joining Biobank Ireland Trust as our Events and Marketing Intern, Holly has been involved in a variety of projects, gaining valuable experience across events, communications, fundraising and biobanking.

Over the past number of weeks, Holly has been supporting the planning and preparation for our upcoming All-Island Biobanking Symposium, working alongside representatives from biobanks across Ireland to assist with event coordination and communications ahead of this important event.
She has also been working alongside our laboratory interns, Irina and Patrick, who are completing their internships at St. James’s Hospital, gaining further insight into the laboratory and research side of biobanking and the important work taking place across our network.

Another key focus has been Biobank Ireland’s social media planning, developing content and ideas to increase awareness of our work, activities and the role biobanking plays in supporting health research.

With the Irish Life Dublin Marathon approaching, Holly has been assisting with preparations, exploring fundraising opportunities for our runners and ways to support their fundraising efforts for Biobank Ireland.

It has been a busy and rewarding few weeks, with plenty more to come. We look forward to seeing Holly continue to contribute throughout the remainder of her internship!
